Perform Metering Test

The Solar Meter Test confirms that CTs have been installed in the correct locations for the system configuration, and that the meter(s) are measuring power flow.

  1. Select System Tests > Solar Meter Test > Start Test.

    Note
    As noted in Tesla One, the system must be connected to the grid and running at the time of testing.
  2. Review the metering diagram displayed to confirm it accurately reflects the system configuration.
  3. If the system configuration is not accurately depicted (for instance a remote energy meter is missing):
    1. Select Go to Meter Settings to add / edit meters (see Configure Meters and CTs).
    2. Return to the Solar Meter Test to complete the test.
  4. Select Confirm to start the test.
  5. When prompted, disable the solar inverter(s).

    Note
    For systems without AC-coupled solar, a Test Not Required screen indicates that no further testing is required. Select Done to exit the test.
  6. Once the test has successfully completed, select Done to return to the landing page.
  7. If the test fails, select Troubleshoot for interactive troubleshooting tips.
