Powerwall System Configurations for Powershare Functionality

Powerwall systems with Powershare functionality require the following:

Tesla Universal Wall Connector or Gen 3 Wall Connector 1734412-xx-y or 1457768-xx-y
Tesla Powershare Compatible Vehicle Inverter 1999990-xx-y Cybertruck
Note
The model numbers in this application note call out "-XX-Y" for the suffix of the equipment model number. The wild cards are defined as follows:
  • "X" is a number and the one number in the model number representing a style code; form, fit, and function are not changed, and these numbers have no bearing on compliance.
  • "Y" is a letter, and the one letter in the model number representing a pedigree; form, fit, and function are not changed, and this letter has no bearing on compliance.

1 Powerwall is not compatible with Powershare Gateway. Do not install Powershare Gateway with a Powerwall system.

2 A Powerwall system with Wall Connector does not require any additional equipment; Powershare functionality will be enabled during device setup. Do not attempt to run communication wiring between the Wall Connector and the Powerwall or Backup Gateway / Backup Switch
