Determine Whether High Impedance Mode is Needed

Select Do I need this? if unsure whether to toggle on High Impedance Mode. Enter the number of electrical phases the site has and the electric service size; Tesla One uses this information and the number of Powerwalls to determine whether to recommend High Impedance Mode.

Electric Service Size Calculation

Tesla One will recommend the overrides if the electric service size is ≤ 40A per Powerwall per phase.

Examples:

  • 4x Powerwalls on a three-phase 50A connection: Override recommended, because one of the phases will have 2x Powerwalls on a 50A phase
  • 3x Powerwalls on a three-phase 50A connection: Override not recommended (50A per Powerwall per phase)
