Using Dolly Platform with Powerwall Dolly

  1. To remove the front tray from the platform, squeeze the latch then remove the tray. Set the tray aside until the dolly has been lifted onto the platform.

    Keep the tray nearby - it will be reinstalled once the dolly is on the platform.
  2. Bring the Powerwall on the dolly to the front of the platform, positioning it in the gap where the front tray was removed.

  3. Use the drill to raise the Powerwall on the dolly until it sits above the front edge of the platform. Tilt the dolly forward until the Powerwall is straight (perpendicular to the floor).

    CAUTION
    Hold the dolly brake lever when not in motion to keep the dolly in place.
  4. Use the drill to lower Powerwall until its feet rest on the platform. Continue to lower the dolly to raise the wheels off the floor, continuing until the dolly reaches its hard stop.

    CAUTION
    Ensure the drill running the dolly is set to the highest clutch setting BELOW the drill setting. Failure to set the clutch will damage the drill and the dolly when hitting the hard stop.
  5. While another operator holds the dolly steady, re-install the removable front tray. Ensure the latch clicks into place and the tray is secure.
  6. Slowly move the Powerwall toward the wall. Once there is enough space at the rear of the platform, the operator of the dolly should step up onto the platform to complete the install.

  7. To remove the dolly from the platform, begin by lowering the dolly lifting plate to its lowest position (there should be 1 - 2 inches of ground clearance).
  8. Wheel the dolly to the back edge of the platform until the wheels touch the stops on the rear edge.
  9. Stand the dolly straight up, then check that the wheels and lifting tracks of the dolly are seated completely on the removable tray.

    If carrying a Powerwall, ensure the dolly is not resting on the sides of the platform.

  10. With another operator holding the dolly in place, squeeze the latch to release the tray, then remove it from the platform.
  11. Raise the dolly lifting plate by driving the drill in the forward direction; the wheels will begin to lower to the ground.

    As the wheels are lowered to the ground, proceed slowly and with caution to ensure the wheels clear the platform.
  12. Once the wheels reach the ground, continue to raise the dolly lifting platform until it can be wheeled away from the platform. Once clear, lower the lifting plate for transport.
