Solar Revenue Grade Metering (RGM) for SREC Sites
Some sites require additional Solar metering with greater accuracy (revenue grade metering) for Solar Renewable Energy Credit (SREC) programs.
- In any scenario, the Tesla Solar Inverter will use its factory-installed, pre-paired Neurio meter and CT for RGM and SRECs
- For solar + storage jobs with Powerwall+, the factory-installed Neurio Solar CT can be configured for RGM
- For solar + storage jobs with Powerwall 3, Powerwall 3 performs its own Solar metering (this measurement is used for system control and RGM)
When and Where to Install Solar Metering for SREC
The additional Solar CT (Neurio or Tesla Remote Energy Meter) is required in the following areas for new jobs:
- CA (PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E only)
- NJ, IL, PA
- Where system size greater than 10 kW in DC and MD
Note
Tesla submits for SRECs in
these states. CT, MA, NH, OH, DE, RI, VA, and WV also have SREC programs but
customers must facilitate getting the SREC credits themselves.
