Tesla Remote Energy Meter Not Reporting Values After Install

After an installation has been completed, the Tesla Remote Energy Meter stops reporting values.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Safely locate and turn OFF the breaker for the Tesla Remote Energy Meter.
  2. Confirm that the Tesla Remote Energy Meter antenna is located outside the metal enclosure of the panel:
  3. If it is not, relocate the antenna outside the metal enclosure following the instructions in the .
  4. Turn the Tesla Remote Energy Meter breaker ON, then confirm the meter LED is blinking green.
  5. Reboot the Powershare system:
    1. Log in to the Device Setup interface in Tesla One, then connect to the Powershare Gateway.
    2. Perform a software update if one is available.
    3. On the landing page, select Stop System.
    4. Wait approximately 10 seconds.
    5. On the landing page, select Start System.
  6. Select System > Metering, and confirm the Tesla Remote Energy Meter is now reporting values.
  7. Select Remote Meter and confirm the Signal Strength is at least 50%.
