Tesla Remote Energy Meter Not Reporting Values After Install
After an installation has been completed, the Tesla Remote Energy Meter stops reporting values.
Steps to Resolve
- Safely locate and turn OFF the breaker for the Tesla Remote Energy Meter.
- Confirm that the Tesla Remote Energy
Meter antenna is located outside the metal enclosure of the panel:
- If it is not, relocate the antenna outside the metal enclosure following the instructions in the .
- Turn the Tesla Remote Energy Meter breaker ON, then confirm the meter LED is blinking green.
- Reboot the Powershare system:
- Log in to the Device Setup interface in Tesla One, then connect to the Powershare Gateway.
- Perform a software update if one is available.
- On the landing page, select Stop System.
- Wait approximately 10 seconds.
- On the landing page, select Start System.
- Select Tesla Remote Energy
Meter is now reporting values.
- Select Remote Meter and
confirm the Signal Strength is at least 50%.NoteIf Signal Strength is lower than 50%:
- Use a Wi-Fi extender or other method to increase Wi-Fi signal strength.
NoteTesla One must be updated to version 12.36 or later to view Signal Strength.
