Connect to Universal Wall Connector to Update Software and Configure Breaker Limit
- Ensure Tesla One has been updated to version 12.5 or later.
- In Tesla One, enter the Tesla
Device Setup flow. Follow the prompts to scan the QR code on the Wall Connector Quick
Start Guide to connect to Wall Connector.
- On the charge handle, press and
hold the handle button for 5 seconds. Wait for the LED to pulse green, then
select Join.
- Ensure Wall Connector is on
software version 24.44 or later:
- Select Software Update
and confirm the Available Version is 24.44 or later. Select Update.NoteThe update will be sent from the phone connected to Wall Connector. Leave the phone near Wall Connector while the update is downloaded. If the phone moves away from Wall Connector, it will disconnect and the download will fail.NoteIf software version 24.44 (or later) is not available, see Minimum Software Version is Not Available.
- When the update is complete (the Wall Connector LEDs will turn off during the update, indicating Wall Connector is rebooting), follow prompts to connect to Wall Connector again.
- Confirm the update to version 24.44 or later was successful and select Done.
- Select Software Update
and confirm the Available Version is 24.44 or later. Select Update.
- Select Wi-Fi, then connect Wall
Connector to the customer's Wi-Fi network.NoteConnectivity may be a challenge if the customer's router is not near Wall Connector. Use a hotspot or range extender if needed. Please note that WPA3 encryption is not supported.NoteWall Connector must be connected to Wi-Fi to ensure the Powershare system receives updates.
- Select Installation Settings and select the Breaker Size. The Max Output Current will automatically be configured based on the selected breaker size.
