Powerhub User Management can be used to grant access in the following scenarios:
No account is associated with the
instance
Elevated permissions are
associated with the instance
At the time of publication, external access to Powerhub for instances that are connected
to accounts (this is the majority case) is automatically granted via Partner Portal for
Energy Customers and Tesla For Business for Commercial Charging Customers.
This guide walks through how to use Powerhub User Management in the two cases listed
above.
Feature Access
The User Access tab is
available as a tab on the top-most group (also referred to as the instance level).
Select User Access to view all
users with access and their associated permissions:
User Roles
To view which permissions and functionality are associated with a specific role,
hover over the information icon:
Add, Edit, and Remove User Access
Note
Only users with the Owner role can manage user
access. If no one in your organization has the Owner role, contact your Tesla
Account Manager to grant access to at least one user.
To add a user, select the Add User button at the top of
the User Access page. A user
must already have a Tesla account to be added (a Tesla account can be made at
tesla.com or via this link).
Note
Adding a user via the Powerhub User
Management feature will NOT grant the user access to other Tesla applications such
as Tesla One or Partner Portal. To grant
holistic read access to ALL Tesla applications when an account is associated, please
use Partner Portal or Tesla For Business, where appropriate.
To update a user's role, select
the dropdown next to the user's name on the User Access page, then select
the desired role.
To remove a user, select the
trash icon next to the user on the User Access page.
Note
Users with the Viewer or Advanced
Support role can view a
read-only version of the User Access panel. As noted above, only those with the
Owner role can add
users and/or edit roles.
User Management When an Account is
Associated with the Instance
If an account is attached to the instance and there are elevated permissions
associated, users will view details about the account and will be able to managed
elevated permissions via Powerhub User Management.
If an account is attached to the instance and there are NO elevated permissions
associated, users will view details about the account, but will not be able to
manage users via Powerhub User Management at this time.
