Key Powerhub Terminology
- Powerhub user interface (UI): Browser-based platform to graphically inspect a fleet
- Powerhub application programming interface (API): Software interface that allows developers to build systems that interact with data from Powerhub programmatically
In Powerhub, to assist in working with energy assets from one or more sites, assets are displayed in the user interface in a hierarchy (see Powerhub User Interface). Terminology is used in this hierarchy as defined below:
(Fleet) → [Instance → (Group) → (Subgroup) → Site → Equipment: Targets]
- Fleet: All of a customer's sites which have energy equipment.
- Site: A single location with telemetry data coming from batteries, solar, generators, site load, and grid consumption.
- Equipment: Energy assets including batteries, generators, and solar inverters.
- Target: Data available for specific equipment. Select targets from the drop-down list in Graphing View (see Graphing Feature for Data Visualization).
- Instance: Contains all groups and sites in the fleet. The root of a hierarchy of sites and their associated data in a customer portfolio. User access to data is granted at the instance level.
