During backup operation, the Gateway will shift the system frequency to control the power output of solar inverters. Therefore, all solar inverters connected to the Backup terminals should be configured for the local grid code. This ensures that the inverter will respond correctly to frequency curtailment efforts. If the inverter is not compliant with the grid code requirements, it might not perform as expected during Backup operation. This could lead to hardware damage due to over-voltage.
