Determine whether cables will be routed into Powerwall from either side or
the back of the unit. A conduit fitting or cable gland must be used to seal the entry
into the wiring compartment.
CAUTION
If expanding the Powerwall 3 knockouts, use a punch and die
set. Do not drill into the Powerwall 3 enclosure or alter the metal
surface in any way that may result in metal shavings falling into the
enclosure.

To open a knockout, position the tip of a regular, blade-tip
screwdriver near the inside edge of the knockout. Hammer the screwdriver to punch out
the metal knockout; one well-placed strike is generally sufficient to dislodge the
knockout.
