Powerwall 3 has an automatic self-test function. Each morning Powerwall 3 performs a safety test to ensure Rapid Shutdown can successfully limit array voltage i.e. rendered high impedance and collapse. Failure of the Rapid Shutdown self-test will initiate an alarm and a faulted state that prevents the solar assembly from operating until service is performed.
