Pair a Neurio Remote Energy Meter
A Neurio meter must be paired with the Site Controller if:
- The system has an Expansion Powerwall+ (the factory-installed Neurio meter must be paired with the Site Controller)
- The system requires remote Site, Solar, Load, Generator, or Conductor metering that can't be performed by the Gateway's wired built-in Meter X or Y, or by any existing Neurio meter(s)
- Select Add Wi-Fi Meter at the bottom of the Metering page.
- Using the commissioning phone, take a
photo of the QR code on the Neurio meter:
- Select Scan QR Code.
- Position the device's camera approximately 10 inches from the label with the QR code centered in the frame.
- A green icon with a check mark will appear to indicate the QR code has been scanned.
- Wait for the Neurio Setup to complete, then select Done.
NoteIf the meter cannot be paired by scanning the QR code, select Manually Enter Details. Enter the Short ID and Serial Number from the meter label; if the Neurio meter LED is not already solid green, turn the meter breaker off then on to power cycle the meter, and wait to hear the startup chime. The system will begin pairing automatically once the Neurio has powered on. Wait for pairing to complete and select Done. - Configure the Remote Energy Meter
CTs:NoteThe Remote Energy Meter has four CT ports, with the following voltage references:
- CT1: L1
- CT2: L2
- CT3: L2
- CT4: L1
- Solar: Used to measure Solar.
- Solar RGM: Used to
measure Solar when revenue-grade metering (RGM) is required. Select this
option when measuring Solar for SREC.NoteIf using a single CT to measure Solar or Solar RGM, toggle on 1CTx2 in the CT Modifiers. This will prompt the software to double the output from the CT to calculate total Solar output.
- Site: Used when two CTs are installed (on both L1 and L2 conductors) to measure Site.
NoteIf any of the CT readings are inverted and it has been confirmed that they are oriented correctly, select the Flip check box to correct the reading. - Review the vitals for each CT
(voltage, current, and power factor) to confirm they have been installed and
configured correctly. NoteThe live power flow and current readings are available for each CT in real time, as well as an overview of all meters and CT settings, in the Metering tab.
