Install MPPT Paralleling Jumpers (Optional)
Where the DC input current exceeds an MPPT rating of 13 A, jumpers can be used to allow a single MPPT to intake strings with a total DC input current of up to 26 A. 4-inch MPPT paralleling jumpers are included in the Solar Inverter accessory bag.
Note
If needed, 4-inch jumpers can be made from 10 AWG copper wire.
The following MPPTs can be paralleled using jumpers:
- MPPT DC inputs 1 and 2 paralleled with both positive and negative
- MPPT DC inputs 3 and 4 paralleled with both positive and negative
Install Jumpers with the 3.8 kW Solar Inverter Model
- Land string with 13+ A (IMP) on MPPT 1 (lower row).
- Install jumper from MPPT 1 to
MPPT 2 (upper row). NoteDo not use the PV 3+, PV 3-, PV 4+, or PV 4- connectors on the 3.8 kW Solar Inverter model. These MPPTs are not functional.NoteDo not use the PV 3+, PV 3-, PV 4+, or PV 4- connectors on the 3.8 kW Solar Inverter model. These MPPTs are not functional.
