Configure Maximum Current Output if Applicable
The default maximum current output for Tesla Solar Inverter with Site Controller is 32 A
(7.6 kW). This value can be permanently configured to one of the following current
levels during commissioning:
32 A | 7.6 kW (default) |
24 A | 5.7 kW |
21 A | 5.0 kW |
16 A | 3.8 kW |
This feature can be used to simplify installations and avoid electrical upgrades in the following scenarios:
- When replacing up to a 7.6 kW solar inverter with the Tesla Solar Inverter with Site Controller
- When installing where there is limited available backfeed or small pre-existing conductors
- When installing where there are utility AC caps
To configure maximum current output:
- On the Devices tab of the System page, select the Solar Inverter and select Max Current Output.
- Select
the desired Max Current
Output.NoteThe maximum current output can only be configured once. If it needs to be changed after initial commissioning, contact Tesla Support.
- Document the configured maximum current output on the PCS field marking label on the Solar Inverter (see Make AC Power Connections for complete PCS field label marking requirements).
