STEP 1: Array Layout

  1. Layout the array.

    Check roof for obstructions and mark out the perimeter of the array.

    Obstructions may include vents, vent pipes, skylights and chimneys. Be aware of roof hips and valleys.

    Adjust front row marks for optimal placement.

    Do not install on the first course of shingles.

  2. Drill pilot holes for comp mount.

    Use a 3⁄16 or 7⁄32 inch drill bit to drill pilot holes for Comp Mount based on array layout.

    Do not drill pilot holes 1⁄2” above or below the shingle drip edge.

    3 or more missed pilot holes REQUIRE card flashing.
