Device Setup User Interface Overview
Landing Page Overview
The landing page displays the state of the entire system. Device setup is complete when each menu item has a green check next to it and there are no alerts in the Alerts tray.
1 | Power Flow | View power flow values from solar, grid, and home to confirm the system has been set up correctly |
2 | START / STOP System | Start all Tesla equipment (includes all Tesla batteries and solar inverters). Note that the customer will not see any data in their mobile app until the equipment has been started and the system has been registered to the customer |
3 | System | View the vitals for each installed device for additional system information and troubleshooting. Add and configure meters for power flow. View Self-Test progress |
4 | Settings | Configure settings, such as Grid Code and Solar Installation Type (required) and Import / Export Limits (optional) |
5 | Network | Configure Wi-Fi or Ethernet, check status of Cellular |
6 | System Tests | Backup Test and other checks to ensure the system operates properly |
7 | Registration | Register the system to the customer |
8 | Software | Download and install a system software update |
9 | Summary | View installation information (serial numbers, software version, network connectivity, grid code, time zone, etc.). |
10 | Exit Device Setup | Exit Device Setup and return to Tesla One Home |
Summary Page Overview
The Summary page displays information about the installation, including the serial numbers of all installed equipment and an overview of operation settings.
