Site Controller Software Update Download is Slow

Symptoms

The software download is exceptionally slow and/or does not seem to be progressing.

Steps to Troubleshoot

  1. Test the customer's Wi-Fi connection:
    1. Connect a personal phone to the customer's Wi-Fi network (do not use the commissioning phone).
    2. Stream a video. If the video lags, the customer's Wi-Fi network may not be strong enough to support the software download.
  2. If the Wi-Fi connection is the issue, configure an Ethernet connection.
  3. If Ethernet is not a viable option, use a personal phone as a hotspot to download the software update:
    1. In the personal phone Settings, navigate to Network & internet.
    2. Select Hotspot & tethering.
    3. Select Wi-Fi hotspot.
    4. Turn the Wi-Fi hotspot on.
    5. In the Device Setup interface on the commissioning phone, configure the hotspot network as the Wi-Fi connection.
    6. After completing Device Setup, return to the Networking page to configure the customer's Wi-Fi network again.
