Note
A Powerwall system with Wall Connector does not require any additional equipment or installation steps; Powershare functionality will be enabled with a software update. Do not install Powershare Gateway with a Powerwall system. Do not attempt to run communication wiring between the Wall Connector and the Powerwall or Backup Gateway.
Can be installed now, Powershare feature available later in 2025

1 Backup Switch with Tesla P/N 1624171-xx-L or greater is required for Powershare home backup installations.

2 If the system includes a UL 1741-listed solar system and there is capacity in the backup panel, ensure the solar system is included in the backup circuit to allow Cybertruck to recharge during an outage. A maximum of 11.5 kW AC of solar can be installed in the backup circuit. This limit protects the Powershare system and Cybertruck from excessive PV power during a grid outage.
