Backup Gateway 2 / Powerwall+ / Solar Inverter Wi-Fi Network is Broadcasting but I Cannot Connect
Symptoms
When scanning for Wi-Fi networks on the commissioning phone, the Backup Gateway 2 / Powerwall+ / Solar Inverter Wi-Fi network appears but the commissioning phone does not connect to it.
Steps to Troubleshoot
- If manually entering the network
name (SSID) and password, ensure they are entered exactly as they appear on the
QR label.NoteSometimes a unit mistakenly has two different printed stickers with different passwords. If this is the case, try both passwords.
- Try placing the commissioning phone in Airplane mode, then enable Wi-Fi.
- Restart the system:
- If the system is installed with Backup Gateway, push and hold the Gateway Reset button for 5 seconds (1 below).
- If the system is installed with Powerwall+, turn the Enable switch OFF then ON.
- If the system has only Solar Inverter, turn the Solar Inverter breaker OFF then ON.
- If the issue persists, contact Tesla Support.
