Powerwall+ / Tesla Solar Inverter is Not Producing

No solar production at all; all DC strings are grayed out. 0W solar displayed

Symptoms

On the landing page, solar production reads 0.0 kW. On the Powerwall+ / Tesla Solar InverterDevice page, the DC string fields are grayed out, indicating the Powerwall+ / Tesla Solar Inverter is not producing power.

Steps to Troubleshoot

  1. If Device Setup displays an alert, follow troubleshooting steps to resolve that alert. If there is no alert, or if resolving the alert does not enable solar production, proceed with the following troubleshooting steps.
  2. Ensure the Enabled button is selected on the Device page to enable solar production.
  3. Rapid Shutdown (RSD) may be initiated. See Powerwall+ / Tesla Solar Inverter Rapid Shutdown (RSD) Initiated for Powerwall+ / Tesla Solar Inverter troubleshooting steps.
  4. If the issue persists, contact Tesla Support.
